Well, California could certainly use the rain.
I just hope it means a normal snowpack in the Cascades for us. The rivers are so low and the mountains so bald this summer after last winter's dry, warmer than normal weather. It's very dry and there have been many small brush fires. Thankfully, most have been put out before spreading too far, but the fire season is still young.

manygoatsnmore I second your request for a more normal winter this year. Our river is low and it is so dry here. And our bug population is bad this year, I am assuming due to the mild winter we had last year.

I hope we have a heavy snowpack this winter. There doesn't seem to be any agreement on what we will get. I have seen everything from lots of moisture to dry. If we have another dry winter we are really going to have some serious problems.
