I'm not a fabric artist Usually (did some batik and tye dye in the ancient past- ) But I just did a spray paint on wood pattern that I'd LOVE having on a shirt and tank top! Is air brush the Only way or are there fabric spray paints I can use direct? Thank You ahead of time for any sources or info you have. -hobby-

Yes there are spray paints, you could find them at Hobby Lobby, Joann's, Michaels or maybe Walmart.

I saw a cool way to dye fabric that looked very easy. It isn't what you're looking for but cool just the same.
Take permanent markers and make a design on the fabric. Fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spritz the alcohol next to the design. The colors bleed into the alcohol. I've seen this used on canvas shoes, tea towels, pillow cases and plain fabric. It's pretty cool!

I do a lot of fabric painting, silk screen with fabric painting etc. I have some on my website Jackigossspecial-tees.com.
Another way to use fabric paints is to wet the tee shirt, and then splash the shirt with very liquid fabric paint. I also keep a spray bottle of water and spray the shirt more if it isn't bleeding enough. I recommend using an old or stained shirt to test techniques on. If you have questions, I will try to help.
