Oh, major "Ick"... Ok, but I must admit, I watched it several times...Was she feeding it a cricket? Spiders are just not my "favorite thing" but I do admit they fascinate me and I realize they do serve a purpose... We live in Indiana; but I didn't realize how BIG some of them got until after we moved into a wooded area! Is your daughter perhaps a bit of a "tomboy"? Only reason I ask-is that I was one big time! Yes, she tossed a cricket on the web.
She's not really a tomboy. She is a self-proclaimed 'nature-girl'. She likes bugs, worms, animals, snakes, frogs, etc. Though she is very afraid of wasps.

That was great! I LOVE spiders, that was great to see. We happen to have a large number of the ones I just call "garden spiders" this year. DH and I have to tread carefully first when picking, weeding, to spot them first so as to not disturb them.
