We get drops offs all the time. Usually we rehome them. This is our most recent. She seems really sweet and we are considering keeping her. We have chickens and have not had luck with outside dogs in with them in the past. We are at max inside so she would have to be outside. So far we lock her up during the day in the goat stall and let her have roam at night to stretch her legs. This is in a very large fenced in paddock. Maybe 1/2 acre area. When were outside we open her up and let her have run with the chickens and honestly she doesn't seem to even notice them. She's young so I'm not sure if this is one thing that will pass or if she's really just not interested. The later is my hope. What kind of dog would you say she is? Help me name her.

She looks smaller? Maybe some jack Russell in there?

She looks like her name should be "Ginger". I like this name but my son shot It down. Said it's a slang term for redheads. Haha. Any other thoughts?

That face screams corgi, to me. Maybe corgi/heeler/ I agree I see a bit as well.

Very possibly rat terrier (Google it). Very pretty girl with such a sweet face. If I didn't have more dogs than I need right now I'd be begging to have her!
With that cute little fox face and the red spots, I'd call her Foxy or Vixen.

I thought of Cleo, for Cleopatra. Those dark, smudgy eyes.

She has a sparkle in those pretty eyes. I'm voting for Sparkle.
Totally off topic, but not only do I think you have a beautiful girl there, but I am having serious grass envy right now. Looking at the lush grass and clover in the pic with her...sigh....it's a distant memory here.

Yes the grass is nice right now but the sad part is I dont have anything grazing this year so it gets mowed. We do bag for compost so it's not wasted but it just breaks my heart.

As soon as I saw the pic, I thought Foxy, too.

Not sure why, but she looks like an Elly to me.

I like her, she is a pretty little thing! I need to pull my old dog breed book out, there is a breed in particular I see in her but can't come up with the name off hand. Sigh...my mind used to be a sponge, now it is a Loofa:-) Ok, I looked it up. I guess I have to agree with Corgi mix! I was thinking Basenji, but her eyes are wrong for that. Oh well, she is a cutie!
I like the name Sarah. She looks like a Sarah to me. Or a Jenny (a take off on Ginger! I have a mare named Ginger, I call her Jenny). I like either of those.

I have to vote for Roxy. Her official name could be Roxanne.

Oh, just tell people she's a Cockeranian Lhasadoodle! That's what I say when people ask us what Sluggo is (we have no idea).
I suspect there's some Corgi in the woodpile there, though. I like the name "Roxy," too.

I got vetoed on everything and my daughter names her Daisy. My daughter said the name and "Daisy" turned around and looked at us. So Daisy it is.

Glanced again at your pic-I do think "Daisy" is a good fit!

Lol, too bad there isn't any way to find out if she was named Daisy in her former life!

I was going to say Daisy, but figured no one would like that name but me!! I love the name Daisy for pets:-) It's such a bright and pretty flower, makes me smile:-)

Daisy works, but your son makes me laugh. Of course Ginger is a nickname for a redhead! It’s not an insult.
