Well the Kenmore blender I received as a gift looked sturdy, but in the end, even though I only used it for a short time, it must've run too hot and that's it.
Is there such a thing as a blender that doesn't cost a fortune that won't easily get too hot and break?

My daughter bought me a Ninja for Christmas one year....it lasted about three years and we put it through heavy duty time.....I ordered another one when it wore out....

I have an elderly Vita-Mix I found at a garage sale - it dates from the 70's to 80's - has the stainless steel container with a pour spout. That thing is a work horse and a half.

Looks like the Ninjas aren't expensive! I hadn't thought of looking at garage sales for a Vita-Mix. I will keep my eye open!
