Our almost 3 year old grandson has moved into a big boy bed so I made him a pillowcase to celebrate. It was so much fun to just sew something that went together fast that I decided to make 6 more for the other grands.
The yellow pillowcase is the first one I made. The rest are displayed on the clothesline.
I'm not able to attach the pictures. It says they are too big and I don't know how to correct it. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Gretchen, I had the same issue. I just went to my photobucket account and added the pictures from there. I am sure your pillowcases are gorgeous. I have made many, many pillowcases. They are a quick and useful gift for the family.

Can't help with the photo issue, I'm pretty technologically challenged.
I do agree that pillowcases are fun to make. Made my very first one last fall to give my DD as a birthday gift, and have plans for lots and lots more this year. In fact, 2015 might become known as the "Christmas of the Pillowcases".

I make pillowcases for Christmas presents, and end up using them as the "wrapping" for other gifts. Under the tree is always interesting at my house. Surprising how much you stuff in a pillowcase and tie it off with a yarn bow.

My kids use their pillowcases as a sack to carry all their loot in when they go home at Christmas.

I was thinking of making one by hand from some flannel. It would be a lot of sewing but I think it'd be worth it. I have to get my grandmothers old Singer fixed.

I’ve made a couple of pillowcases. I was inspired by my local quilt shop. They are made using two different fabrics and look real nice. More of a chore than just sewing up a couple of sides and hemming, but I like them.

I taught the entire football team at my son's school how to sew, making pillowcases. They loved it! I wonder if the Million Pillowcase Challenge is still going on. Great places to donate pillowcases if you want to do some quick charity work......

Here is a link to the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge. At the time I checked, the number of pillowcases made was 615,888.
There is also a link to click that list the location of participating stores for your to take your pillowcase donations to.
