In the next few days, the night of September 27th to be exact, sheer Lunacy will reign over the night skies.
That night there will be a full moon, a harvest moon, a super moon, a blood moon and a total lunar eclipse all in one night.
It will obviously be a full moon because it will be full. Duh!
It will be a harvest moon because it is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox (today - September 23rd). By the by, Happy Autumnal Equinox!!!
It will be a super moon because the moon will be at its closest point during the full moon.
It will be a blood moon because it presents the fourth and final eclipse of a lunar tetrad.
And there will be a lunar eclipse because the Earth will get its big butt in between the Sun and the Moon, thus blocking sunlight from reaching the moon.
That is a lot going on celestially in one night!!!
So get ready, enjoy the show and watch out for all of the crazies that may be out and about that night.
