I've been insulating the hot water pipes..
And I asked the question: Should I insulate the cold water pipes too?
And I don't know the answer.

Well, I'm insulating the hot water pipes to keep the water temperature more stable when you first turn on the tap, and I suppose it'll save a few cents too.
Pipe insulation is cheap. So I'm just wondering, should I do the cold while I'm doing the hot? Don't know how cold the cellar will get yet. If it'll help protect them from freezing to insulate them I'll do that too.

If you have really cold water source and the pipes running through a warm area the pipes will form some condensation. Insulation will stop that.

Well that's a good enough reason for me to do it then, as the water here does get quite cold, and I want to keep the cellar as dry as can be!
