My Material and Yarn Is Back Home Again

When daughter had to move back home she moved in with me .

My second bedroom had been my craft/sewing room for about 12 years so I had accumulated a lot of crafting supplies as well as material and clothing to remake into something else .

I was still working then so daughter packed everything willy nilly in totes and boxes while I was at work and we took it all over to my Mom's basement ..

Mom has been obsessing about my stuff being down there for a couple of years  but because of my mobility issues as well as not being able to get anyone with a truck or trailer to help us it has stayed down there ..driving her more nuts than she is on her best days ..(issues with things she cant go thru and declare as hers ..LOL) ..

My "little" sister has been on vacation this past week and today called at noon saying she was bringing a couple loads over  ..

Daughter didn't have to be at work until 5pm so we went over and started loading her car ..In the meantime I texted my dear friend who dropped everything and ran into town with her overloaded truck to help ..

Everything that was in my Mom's basement is now in my living room !!!!! With a path to the bedroom and a path to the kitchen ...

As well ....all of a sudden my Mom decided she was getting rid of her crafting things on her back porch so we also had to bring all of it home too ..patterns ..material ...partially finished projects ..artificial flowers ...yarn and thread ...and more ...

I now wont have to shop for any material for YEARS...LOL ..There is plenty of solid colors and printed colors ...cotton ..flannel ..polyester ...

I have plenty of material to make something  to join in the Christmas Ornie Swap on my crafting board as well as make yoyo's for as long as I want or need to ..

It is like Christmas morning  or seeing a friend you haven't seen in years ...There are items I had forgotten I even had ..paint brushes ...wooden items ..plastic canvas ..ribbons ...ect.

The material will have to be washed since it smells like a dank dark basement but that is a good thing too since some was new and needs preshrinking or setting the colors ..

It is going to take me a while to go thru and decide what I am keeping and what will be donated to Goodwill ..what I can keep in the house and what I can put out in the mini barn ..

Today almost pushed me over the edge and I almost fell a couple of times at Mom's and I now hurt in places I forgot I had ..LOL

But I am beyond BLESSED to have my sister ..daughter and dear sweet friend who helped me with this chore as well as Mom who gifted me with even more material and crafting stuff ...as well as time to take it slow and go thru everything ....

That is wonderful! There's nothing more fun than going through tubs of material.

Between the material I had when daughter moved back home and the material my Mom gave to me (she sewed crafts and had a craft store at one time ....  so she had LOTS of different prints and solids for every holiday ) I am struggling to find a place to keep it all ...

I could maybe put it under my bed in storage containers but would rather figure out a way to keep it within easy reach ..

As well I have seam binding in every color .....lace of every color and size ...ribbon of every color and size  ....felt in different colors .... thread for cross stich in every color you can think of ....

The one thing Mom didn't give me was thread but I found a bankers box with a lid  under my bed FULL of every color of thread I can use in my lifetime !!!

I cant wait til I get this all sorted so I can start working on some unfinished purses I found that I had almost finished before daughter packed everything away .... as well as working on my yoyo's and the purses I have designed in my mind and am waiting to put on paper patterns ....

I also have a couple of Mom's unfinished dolls and a HUGE floppy eared rabbit that she used to sell ...

One of the dolls is a big one that will wear one of my daughters baby dresses and mary jane shoes ..in fact the  sailor dress and shoes  is one I have a picture of her in ....both the dress and shoes are in with the unfinished doll in a big zippered bag ....

I have Mom's idea and pattern book as well as her hand drawn patterns ...

I am so happy to have my material and craft stash again plus Mom's unfinished projects and her idea book from the shop.....

Lucky you all that stuff
I have my fabric all folded the same size on bookshelves by color, it is so nice to be able to just look at it all and dream about what to do with it all
