The amount of water that fell in South Carolina was enough for 1.2 million gallons for every person in the state
But it would take over 4 times this amount of rain to erase the California deficit.

Raindrops are falling on my head And just like the guy whose feet Are too big for his bed Nothing seems to fit Those raindrops Are falling on my head They keep falling.

Saw that on the Weather Channel tonight, that's unreal. We got 20.75" where I live here in SC, it's not that we didn't need it as a lot of the state here was in a drought as well, but, we got more than a year's worth in 3 days. We got over 6" on Sun. alone. It's going to take months if not years to get everything fixed.

We got about 13 inches on this part the NC coast, but it was primarily an easy, constant rain during the entire five day ordeal. No real downpours to speak of. Some places nearby received 20+ inches. It even cleared for most of one of the five days.
I did read somewhere that because of this latest rain that all areas in NC are now drought-free.

@trellis, I wondered how you'd fared. Glad to hear all is well.

It reaches a point of time where everything, even in the house, is sort of damp. Unrelenting is the word for it. I'm glad your ok.
