It was in the 30s today and got up to the 40s. It had been sleeting on and off all day. Tomorrow morning it is supposed to be in the 20s. I am not looking forward to using the ice scrapper.

Brr.
All we had this morning were some huge thunderboomers, and a very brief cloudburst!

Flurries here in the Finger Lakes. Supposed to be colder tonight than last night, then moderating. Fall weekends are so fleeting, it's tough to lose one to uck. I can do my outside chores on weekdays since I'm retired, sort of. But festivals and such, it's go in the snow & cold, or don't go.

Raining here, too, countryjo...my baby chicks don't know what is happening. They keep trying to get under their moms, but the moms keep moving!

It snowed a little bit today, but not enough to stick. It is supposed to be 20 tonight, a new low according to the meteorologist. Yippie, not!!! I love it when the temperature is 70 and above. I did bake an apple pie today though. It is one way to stay warm. Guess who ate most of it? The two guys that love to eat. I guess when I have time I will make another one.

We've had little snow flakes that seem like tiny leaves or seeds for 2 days. Very pretty against the foliage. 23 this morning, brrr. Woodstove is going and cozy.
Central Maine.

In upstate? Brrrrrr. Whew. I am glad I moved a bit south, those upstate winters are long and hard. I suppose if I had had a pickup truck with a snow plow attachment, and a tractor with the same it'dve been a bit easier but all the same. . . the winters are long up there!
