Found a couple of photos prior to sending off for quilting. Quilt too large to fit all on the table, so have only got half of each side. The other half is very similar. Hope this works - first time posting photos here.

Thanks guys - I hope my friend likes it. She's just started up a commercial goats milk cheese operation and it's hard work when you're in the early stages of a business, specially all the paperwork and audits.

@redfish, this probably won't be a lot of use as it's a NZ quilt shop, but if you don't mind a freight charge, they have 2 goat fabrics advertised, one of which is the one I used (shown as Farm Animals - Goats Green). Here you go... just type in Goats into the search box and they should come up. This is my go-to shop for farm-related fabrics over here. www.countrydawnquilting.com/cgi-bin/Store/store.cgi

You're all very kind - thank you. :-)
This should be in the TIGF section, but TIGF listening to that wee inner voice that tells you something isn't quite right. I cut out the binding for the French Braid quilt for another friend using the background fabric which was the closest the quilt shop/long-arm quilter had in stock. Works fine for the back, but when I started sewing the binding on I realised it clashed with the vertical separating strips on the front. So I undid what I'd sewn and am now about to re-cut using the strip fabric. Thank you Lord - you saved me from something I wouldn't have been happy with. I can use the other binding for something else in the future.

The French Braid quilt has been a bit of a mental fight, I have to say. My friend wanted light pinks through to maroon colours, which really aren't me at all, so I found it a challenge. I'll post a picture of it when I've finished the binding, but to me it looks quite dark. I do like doing FB quilts, though - they're just so darned easy, but look really effective. Here's a picture of one I did for another friend. She grows blueberries, and I was able to find a blueberry themed fabric which was just perfect for her. www.flickr.com/photos/136688823@N03/shares/VVM41uI used bamboo batting for the first time on the latest FB quilt. Have any of you used that before, and how did you find it washed up? Did it migrate through the fabric at all?

Sorry manygoatsnmore, - I'm new to the vagaries of sharing photos via a photo-sharing website, so am mucking things up quite a bit. Think I worked out what I did wrong, so have amended my link in the earlier post. See how that goes. Talk about technically challenged - I need a kid, I think. :-)

The link you have up now opens for me and yet again I am in awe at how beautiful that quilt is, It is like your quilts TALK to you, I mean when I look at them its like they are saying something or telling a story, AMAZING talent you have I could stare at those all day long.....

@kiwifarmgal, I agree with shellymay, that blueberry quilt is utterly amazing! Thank you for sharing it with us. Love the colors, the pattern, the quilting....oh, heck, I just love it all!

@kiwifarmgal, I'm no quilter and I got the 404 message earlier, too, when I went to look at them. But the links opened for me just now and I have to say, you are a true artist at your craft! 'Stunning' is the only word that comes to mind, and it's not really adequate. I can't wait to see more of your creations!

Well, thanks for the lovely words, but credit where it's due. The French Braid pattern is RIDICULOUSLY easy to do - if you can do a log cabin pattern you can do a FB one - same principle - so the only talent required is to sew a straight line, which I can do, LOL.
As for the colours - I had the idea for the theme and the main fabric figured but Stephanie from Grandmothers Garden Quilt Store up in Hamilton sorted out the other fabrics (I'm c**p at selecting colours when they need to be specific and it was easier just to tell her what I had in mind and leave the rest up to her), and the beautiful quilting was done by Sue Burnett from Busy Bee Quilt Shop here in Wellington. She's a master at her trade. So it was a combined effort from two REALLY talented people that helped me along the way. But I'm glad you like it. :-)
OK, your turn now to show some of your work. Wendy and Kawaiitimes have already led the way with their gorgeous quilt tops (and I'm itching to see them both when they're finished).

Thanks jangirl and momo. I know that there are a number of quilters on this site and I reckon we need to have an online quilt exhibition. I'd love to see some of other people's work. Come on, don't be shy.
