I want to make a couple little braided rugs from garments I saved from Mom & Dad. The skirts, dirndl style , and long coats will be easy to make into strips, but what about wool slacks? The grain runs the wrong way to make strips of any length, yes? Would I do better to think of a wool crazy-patch quilt, or just donate those items? Thanks.

Wool is getting very hard to find. I would not part with it. A crazy quilt would be lovely. Blessings Jan
