Bought black pants. Had a little lint on them. Washed and put in dryer. Lint all over. Anyone know of a way, other than lint roller, to get lint off?

Sometimes I will roll a piece of packing tape around my hand and "brush" it off. I've also used a dryer sheet, but it's not as effective.

I let my Golden Retriever lay on my lap. Then I don't notice the lint so much.

Lint is such a pain, isn't it? Best way I know of is to wash things like trousers separately on a higher water level setting than auto, and not with a load of other things like towels - then put through 2 rinse cycles. My worst lint problems seem to happen when the machine has a lot of things in it. This also seems to make the laundry detergent not dissolve properly, which leads to white soapy stuff on clothes.

kiwifarmgal That's disheartening. Wonder if using extra water/elec is worth it. I'm sure didn't pay much for them.

A damp terry cloth rag works well removing pet fur so worth a try for lint removal.

sss3 , I hasten to add that I really only do this with my good clothes, so it's quite an infrequent occurrence, really. On a day-to-day basis, I couldn't give a toss about lint or soap residue on my clothes, shameless as I am. But on the odd occasion that I need to look respectable, that's how I do it.

Put pants in rinse cycle with vin. Took most of lint off. Will wear and see how they do as far as picking up lint. They are new. Anyone ever buy cheap clothes that seem like part of fabric is paper or something like that? That's what these feel like. kiwifarmgal Around home, I don't care either. You should see what Im wearing right now.

No matter what you pay for clothes (or fabric), the quality of cloth is horrid these days. My mom kept some of my clothes from when I was young (like 5 years or younger). My daughters wore them and they are still wearable for any grandchildren I may have. Greed has trumped quality (and good paying US jobs).
