Went out to grandson's house today, he is redoing the whole house, and was so surprised...the whole ceiling in the house was done out of old barn tin and it looks great...really surprised me. A friend of ours had done his ceiling out of paneling and it looked like pine boards all across and was nice as well....we redid one of our rent house ceilings about a year ago and used beadboard paneling and it turned out nice....ways to be creative and save some money....

I was putting in a ceiling in the basement a few years back and ran short on materials. As a temporary measure I took pillow batting and stapled it to the rafters and overtop the ductwork.Depending on how the light was hitting it,it was hard to figure out if it looked like clouds in the sky or snow on a roof. I liked it but, someone, guess who, didn't! 'Nuff said!

We have friends who used old barn boards and tin to make a wainscoting in their family room. It looks great.
