Does anyone have any cardboard spools, like from bulk elastic or trim. I am in need of at least one. I have two both about 7"-8" high and around 4" across. But any size will do. Thanks

Good idea, Tallpines ! It seems like gluing cardboard circles to the ends of any round container would work. Definitely check with any store that sells trim, etc. by the foot/yard and ask them to save some for you.

I would be happy to pay to ship one! I have zero fabric stores near me or within an hour drive, so shipping is not that expensive. I do not think a box would be strong enough for what I am doing. Those spools are very strong. If you have any or know any one who does I would be happy to pay for it plus shipping!

It looks like ebay has a variety when I searched for cardboard spools. On a side note: I never realized that there was a market for empty toilet paper rolls. Learn something new every day and today I learned that people will buy/sell anything!

I save the empty cones from my longarm thread for ribbons and trims. Just a thought....
