I'm sorry I just can't help myself, @rockpile - but as soon as I read your title (which is great, by the way) - I couldn't help thinking - "That sounds like one heck of a personal problem!" ANYWAY, that is too cool... That should save a great deal of money! I've never done this-are they just laying on top of the ground or what? I anxiously await your reply... Mari

I understand that there is medication for that, but you have to see a physician first to get a prescription.....either that or so he can save on buying bait?

Some people have said that diatomaceous earth helps with that.

Lol, I'm so glad I wasn't the one to post the first comment on the subject of Rock having worms, Mari-in-IN. I was already naughty once today when I posted on another thread about rust in the toilet tank and the poster not wanting to think about what she was drinking...my first thought was why was she drinking from the toilet, even though I knew that wasn't what she meant, hehe! After a good rain, you can walk across the grass at night with a flashlight and pick nightcrawlers off the top of the grass. I think they come up to breathe. There was a great Beverly Cleary book where Henry Huggins was picking worms in the park after the sprinklers were shut off for the night - anyone else read those books when you were a kid?

You do NOT have to have a prescription for worm medicine. You just mix a spoonful of kerosene in honey and give it to the kid, or dog. Thats what they did when I was a kid.
I had a young man, fresh out of high school, working for me in the mid 80's. As the day wound down we would always get out a cooler of beer and knock back a few while cleaning up. As an aside, I learned that in construction work, cleanliness is next to come-backliness. No matter how bad things went, spend a few minutes cleaning up at the end of every day, and a major clean-up at the end of the job left a huge impression. They'd call you back when they needed another job done. Anyway, this young fellow told us "All that drinking, y'all gona kill y'all's worms!" which sounded hysterically funny. A few questions later, we discovered that he believed that everybody needed to have worms, that's what cuts up your food so you can digest it. It bothered me quite a bit that I had kids that were going to, or would be going to the same high school that he attended without learning anything at all about digestion. Oddly enough, a few months later, another young man says, at one of those buffets that got started here in the 80's, about eating more than one helping of dessert.."You gonna have worms coming out your eyeballs, all that cake and pie". I had to ask, just had to...Did you graduate from GW high school too?"
