I have several packets of seed in the fridge going through stratification, hoping to start my own meadow here shortly. I need to pick up a second fridge on the cheap just for seed trays.

Aren't all lupine varieties toxic to livestock?

Possibly. But we have a considerable number of cattle in Texas and they are smart enough not to eat it. We also have significant wildlife that daily visit our couple of acres.

Makes me so homesick I could bawl. The spring we had our senior banquet (1950) several of us drove miles to pull bunches of bluebonnets to decorate our tables. (To tell the truth, a group of senior boys will drive farther than necessary to gather flowers if it gets them out of school.)
