I have 10 rabbits. Cali, NZ,Champagnes and Silver Fox. I am trying to decide what breed I like best. I think I will be focusing on Silver Fox since they do better on weeds and I think the chocolates are just adorable.

Had a litter born a week ago, 10 of them. Found one dead in nest box on day 3 or 4, remaining nine are doing well. Good job for first time mother. Have a litter of frankenbunnies due any time now. This coming Thursday I need to put nest boxes in with two Thrianta does, one californian doe and one mini lop doe. On the 22nd of this month I need to place nest box with two more mini lop does.
Then in about 2 months, I will breed my two californian does again.

Oh, forgot to mention, I picked up a trio of New Zealand whites Saturday. No pedigrees, and all litter mates too, so the buck will become dinner and later will breed the does to my cal buck. I got the trio for $20, so, for meat breeders, not a bad price. Sometime later this year, I do plan on getting a trio of pedigreed NZ whites to breed for meat and show.

Possibly, but I'm more worried about the empty freezer.

New in here. Just picked up a French Angora bunny this morning to go with my German Angora bunny. And picked up a mini lop for my son Sat. morning. Three bunnies in three weeks. Whew!

You could be in trouble! That is how I started last August and I'm now up to 50! Could I ask what breeders you purchased the angoras from? I used to raise German Angoras & GA crosses/hybrids. I have meat rabbits now - maybe in the future I can get a couple angoras again.

Katie, they were local breeders. Angoras are REALLY hard to find out here. The French angora was a five hour drive one way. No one wants the work. That and there aren't a ton of spinners here. I am loving my bunnies!

I am a rabbit person, NZ, CA and Brown Satin, all raised for meat. I have 4 breeder does, 3 bucks and about 2o babies right now, just butchered 8 for dinner for us and friends.
