These are prefab homes shipped to site. 360' for $65K and 504' for $75K. I'm sure the price doesn't include shipping and there would be set up as well. www.brettzamoredesign.com/bzd2015/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Zfab_brochure.pdfThese homes are probably best for singles and couples. Looking back, I probably would have been better off financing something like this, but they didn't have something like this when I began my homesteading trek 17 years ago.

I have a hard time believing anyone will pay 75K for what is basically an office trailer.
And it takes them "as little as" 5 months to do it?
I really need to start building these things.
Anyone wanna place an order?

I guess if you are going to start building on raw land it might be somewhat cost saving, but there are 3 houses in my village that are decent nice homes, need a bit of work of course, that are half that price with a good size yard and all.

I fail to see how if starting with raw land.... that 75K for a basic trailer is cost effective.

Kind of like women--what you might call a basic babe might be a lot of fun and still quite comfortable for me. I don't mind paying more for a few extras that I enjoy.

Anyone wanna place an order? I'm NOT going to pay you that much either Numb, but I've seen what you can do with a combo-greenhouse that is twice as big as these, does more with the space provided and I'll bet you didn't spend a 10th 1/20th of the cost to get what you wanted either. Why ANYBODY would want to live and pay that much to live in a pre-fab trailer home is beyond me. Apparently some folks have more dollars then cents/sense and are unwilling to take a saw, hammer, drill and materials to make their own dream home a reality.

I see this as a homesteader thing in a homesteader forum, and in that context expensive tiny homes strike me as a rich mans fancy. This is not homesteading or downshifting or frugality; This is overpriced stuff marketed to people with a lot of money to burn.
Take brother Ernie's adventures in Tx. I think Ernie is a little unbalanced BUT... thats a real homesteaders tiny home. I admire Ernie's efforts to be handy and learn on the fly.
So when the super over priced tiny home thing comes along I develop a headache trying to understand why anyone would set fire to enough money to quite literally buy an entire farm with.
I have seen listing in WV not far from me, for 10-40 acre little mountain farms with all the needed stuff for under 75K. Most have mobile homes, and a lot of the have FREE GAS.
Now imagine what you can do with a free fuel source on a homestead. A fine investment to make over a tiny house for a homesteader.
Also a tiny house is an illusion I think as far as "less work" and "less heat". The ability to heat a large space has more to do with insulation and air flow than it does fuel consumption.
I think these tiny sheds are a convenience for busy people who are not washing a ton of work clothes, tools and equipment to store, A pantry to stock, a garden to process.
My porch is 12x10, it has 3 freezers and a bunch of animal feed bots coats tools and whatnot.
Thats just the porch. The ajacent tool room is 8x12 stuffed with tools and parts we call "the hardware store".
Tiny homes aint homesteading its rich folks pretending to be poor.

Shhh! That is our builder's model. You can have a similar one built on your site for only $20,000. Any takers?
