bluemingidiot, I was sad to see last time I was there that a lot of orchards are now housing developments. It is happening all over.

God gave Adam a Garden of Eden and Adam corrupted it. God gave our ancestors the Garden of America and we have corrupted it. As my old friend Daniel use to say, "People just can't stand prosperity."

Wait... didn't Eve ruin the Garden thing? It wasn't Adam's idea.

Same thing's been going on down here for quite some time...seems like developers of over-priced, cookie-cutter neighborhoods simply cannot abide leaving a square inch of land for anything to grow on other than the few feet they leave for each house's "yard".
Apparently, that's what people want nowadays...to stay cooped up in their little cocoons, only to venture out long enough to cut their postage stamp lawns (maybe 20 - 30 minutes?).
