I could have went up there fishing all I had to do was split cost of gas and buy my permits but my wife said it would cost too much.

The last couple weeks here were in the 90's and it was pretty unbearable. Ha ha. I turned on the bear-cam and watched the bears and fish and rushing waters, and it was cooling.
There are volunteer rangers manning the camera 24/7, moving the view from right at the falls, into the office (pool area in the back of the falls), and off to the right down stream. There are many male bears and I also watched a mother bear and her two cubs.
A couple evenings, after 11 pm central, the ranger manning the camera would talk about each of the bears, their names, what they had been through, some of their habits, for about an hour. They say the times are sporadic for the talks, and listed on the explore website, but I didn't find the schedule for that. It is really interesting to listen to, if you get the chance.
