@fffarmergirl, how fun - I bet your face is a perpetual smile knowing whenever you want, you walk out and there they are!

They're also beautiful...now you're going to have more work, but won't mind one bit because they're home.

Now you can expect frequent incidences of enjoyment warching your new residents interact. That's a great part of the reward for the work younput in. And the horses will now look on you differently too- be prepared for incoming nickers......

They're the first thing everybody looks for when we go outside. We're living next door to my parents and my stepmom goes out and visits them every day just to smell them. Dad and DH were out there putting the round bale feeder together yesterday and DH said it took him a while to get used to them coming up and rubbing their noses on his neck while he was on his knees working. PJ came up and tipped his tool box over and played with all his tools. They're bonding over tools LOL. My stepsister is going through a difficult divorce and her son is having a rough time with it but his face just lights up when he's with the horses and it's really going to help get her mind off things. Horses are so healing "Frequent incidences of enjoyment" - yup, here to stay, I like that!!

What a wonderful situation you now have. I know you will get such joy riding whenever you want; and yes animals can be healing. Congratulations!

Did you trailer Ona or did you have her moved? Did you get PJ in Michigan or there?

Ah yes, the tool box talk! My goofballs would follow my DH around when he was working on fences, if he even set a wrench or fence tool down for a minute it would be trotted away by one of my playful geldings. He finally learned, never leave a good tool on the ground within reach of a horse:-)

Congrats! You will love having your horses at home! So much so that if you have to board again, no stable will make you happy! And that's a good thing!
Enjoy them. Some of the best times in life are the little moments, just spent watching them eat. Or the satisfaction gained by truly knowing they are well cared for. You will get to know them so much better and will learn to "read" them in a way that can't be learned, it just happens.
Good luck and yeah, I'm jealous!
