Hello all forum members. There is already a prayer thread for MGM's sister and also lots of support on the Prep thread but I wanted to create something "fun" for her to read to boost her spirits during this difficult time. A surprise for her when she gets back to us. So many you know her since she gets around the forum more than I do and you have other perspectives. Lets come up with 100(or more) things that manygoatsnmore means to us here. Lets make her smile. I'll start: For Preps shes our: Dear Online Friend Den Mother Inn Keeper Fearless Leader Mega Posting Inspiration ! Your turn!

She is one of those members who posts thoughtful, intelligent messages that help me and others. I always read her posts.
(Ok I guess that is my admission that there are some I don't read because they are outside of my current and future lifestyle by so far that I would not understand nor have anything to offer - such as cattle. I do like cattle of course. Just never going to have any. I must be more like manygoatsnmore and get my foot out of my mouth now.....)

The prepping forum just isn't the same without her! She has a keen sense of humor and a way of making everyone feel like they belong and that their thoughts are welcome to be shared.

I love the way she doesn't judge, tolerates the differences in others and even celebrates them. She is a blessing to those in her everyday life, and I'm hoping they're taking care of her as she takes care of others.

I've not been here long enough to learn MGM, nor the rest of you, very well. That being said, anyone who cares enough to take the time to help out family is a person worth knowing. After a relationship with God, I know of no relationships any more important than family relationships. Wise is the person who loves and cares for family.

MGM inspires me to live life, even in the most difficult times. She walks with God in her heart and her faith always remains strong, in good times and in bad. It is all my pleasure to call her my friend.

en·er·gy /ˈenərjē/ noun: energy 1. the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.
Greek energeia, from en- ‘in, within’ + ergon ‘work.’

Last April, I told MGM that she reminds me what it would be like to have a nice sister, to be funny in a nice way. She is inspiring to me in the way she does it.
This is what she said to me: I'm always one to look for the good in things...and she said: I'm a firm believer in the healing power of a good belly laugh.
Those things are inspiring and I'm grateful to have her sharing with us. I believe she is so busy spreading love and joy to people, seeing the good in everything, that the dark side of life and people are left eating dust, as it should be. There are other quiet angels in our midst teaching us valuable life lessons, right here on our forum. They teach us to love our neighbor (or our sister) as ourselves in what they do. I feel blessed to receive her example and the example of the other angels here as well.

I agree with everything said on here. I too have been incredibly blessed by her and am grateful to have access to her thoughts and words on this space. She definitely has a very rare and precious personality. When I see that golden retriever (at least that's what I think is the breed of that dog) avatar, I almost feel this sense that whatever I'm going to be reading is going to be either kind, helpful, funny, honest, or a combination of all of the above. Her way with words and how she communicates what she feels even when upset (I saw one post in my entire time here where she was sad/upset and expressed it in words) really makes the reader accept and take in what she has to say. It's one thing to tell someone something, but to have them open their hearts and take it in because they believe you are a genuine good person is something rare. We have a few people on here like that. I am very thankful to be a part of this space and be able to take in the words from these wonderful people, MGM included. Did I mention I have learned so much from her? I truly have!

Feather, the bit about a good belly laugh is just sooooooooo true. I had a meeting with a couple of people from a steering group I'm on on Monday. We were supposed to be talking business, but I discovered that we had so much in common and similar senses of humour and we spent most of the time laughing. Like tears rolling down the face and into our sandwiches laughing. I haven't cackled like that in a while, but it made me feel absolutely marvellous for the rest of the day. And I have two new friends, instead of just working colleagues.

Mary is a true gem! She and I have similar family experiences, and she's always had positive, good advice for me. I value her so much! She has great medical knowledge, and never is negative, something I'm grateful for! She's truely a 'sister from another mister!

MGM always makes me feel special when she tags my posts and responds. I know that she does this for most of us. It takes a special person to show how much she cares about her cyber friends. I wish she was my neighbor.

MGM is so kind in her posts. She always has a kind word for her fellow HFs. Her posts are long lists of kind words to everyone else's posts, and encouragement to anyone who is down. Somehow I wish I could offer her the same comfort she gives us, in her time of sadness.
I miss her vast experience and the gentle way she shares her knowledge with the rest of us.
Hurry back dear Mary, we miss your posts and all of the wisdom you share!
