I end up using a flashlight just about every evening... I am so sick of them lasting anywhere from 4 months to a year on average. I've bought cheap - I've bought expensive... I'm not hard on them by the way... Would really appreciate hearing from any of you that have actually found the "perfect" flashlight - (if there is such a thing-HA!) Thanks in advance, Mari We just finished watching an interesting video featuring Parliament...

No such thing, I have tried the lanterns (battery and rechargeable), I have tried the cheap battery/rechargeable, I have tried the Police/fire department flashlights, you name it....Snap on tools has good ones but really nothing is long lasting
but with some you can order the spare bulbs easier and I always use the copper top batteries and that seems to help with the frustrations......

We have one of the big Mag lites. They have a nice warranty. The one we keep by the bed has been a staple here for about 20 years.

I've never seen any that were worth what they ask for them. The new LEDs with the bright white lights bother my eyes to no end. I have one of those old big 9 volts with a lens as big as a saucer and a big heavy battery that puts out a lot of light, otherwise I stick with cap lights or headlamps to keep my hands free...and I keep mag-lights for Her and one in the truck. RIP Bernie Worrell for sure.

It really is a difficult find!
I am currently using a flashlight that is part of my emergency radio, after getting disgusted with a lantern battery flashlight running out of power so quickly. But I know it's only a temporary solution as the radio heats up too greatly when recharging.. it won't last.
