England and Europe were once almost all forest. Think that changed anything? Most oxygen conversion takes place in then ocean I believe---One source says phytoplankton produce half the earth's oxygen, land sources the rest.

In some parts of the world people are clearing forest land as quickly as they can; here in the US we are losing it very slowly. Does anyone know what the difference is between oxygen conversion in Ag land VS conversion by woodland?
