An adorable pony named Belle. Mainly got her for our petting zoo. She has done kid parties giving rides & I will use her for that also. We've given rides already & she does great. She's 5 years old.

She's so cute it hurts! Now go to the store and pick up some QuicSilver shampoo. Get a big bottle and follow the directions carefully. The grey horses and those with white markings always (ALWAYS!) seem to find that soft wet pile of green manure to lie in, and they don't stay so white very long. Are you sure she's five? Does she have papers that say so? Because she's awfully young to have greyed out so completely. Still, it could be. Take a look at her incisors and see what they say.

She is a doll! What a pretty little pony:-) Happy for you guys:-) horseyrider, Thanks for the info on Quicksilver shampoo! I just took in a 15 year old Peruvian Paso that is a Cremello, covered with small green spots! Some not so small green spots also! I will pick up a bottle of the shampoo today and give him a good bath this evening. He probably won't like it much, I don't think he has been touched very much from the reaction I get when I run my hands over him. Oh well, he will learn. He was just gelded a couple of weeks ago, he may just be in a I HATE PEOPLE mode right now. No, I didn't geld him, the sheriffs department did after he went after one of the deputies trying to feed him. Again Wendy, what a cute little girl! Good luck with her!

Good luck with her! aoconnor, Quicsilver shampoo is a bluing shampoo. It makes whites and greys very bright; but if you leave it on too long, you suddenly have a purple horse. Ever see the old ladies with blue hair? Ding ding ding! Just so you know and can get a feel for how long to leave it on. I don't know what it would do with cremellos, being double dilutes of chestnuts or sorrels. It's worth a try though. Heaven knows they'll get green spots again in the next twenty minutes. Lots of us who would show would always have a can of baby powder in the trailer. If you get to the show and find your horse has a green sock, a quick wash and brisk application of baby powder can get you through a class. There's also spray paint for that, a special hair color for horses that used to live in my trailer. I used to use black on my bay because he had weird brown hairs in the front of his black socks. Drove me crazy, so I'd paint them if we haltered. If there was an English Horse In Hand class, we usually won it. If they held Grand and Reserve, he usually got Reserve and a *real* halter horse got Grand. He did occasionally beat the *real* halter horses though, and that fried some hides.

Some horses sort of fade over time, but there are others that were so awesome they were best friends. It's fun to go out to the pen and see something that's such eye candy that they make you smile.

I'm thinking of wrapping her legs at Christmas with red bandages to make her look like a candy cane! 😂 She's pretty white, just likes to roll in the dirt as soon as we brush her!
