What do you use to clean oven? Stuff baked on hard; kinda like baked syrup. Thanks.

I can’t help you. Just wanted to say that you can buy a thingie for the bottom of electric ovens. You slide it under the element and leave it. Remove it to rinse off or wash off or throw away. I love mine and have gone through two in fifteen years.

I love mine and have gone through two in fifteen years. The ovens made since about 2012 say NOT to use the thingy or aluminum foil. Well my SIL used the foil at my MIL's and ruined the oven. No sure they ever got all the bonded-onto-the-oven-floor foil off. So please don't use anything on the floor of the oven without checking the manual. That being said, I use any oven cleaner overnight and it has worked on all messes I also use oven cleaner on my NESCOs after baking/roasting or just cooking in them if the mess is too great. They look like new!

I just wrap the bottom wire rack in foil to catch anything. I have a gas stove. Sometimes spills happen though. I forget what cleaner I used to use.. some of them don't stink much, but still work. I'll probably just grab whatever is at the dollar store that looks best. There probably are healthier alternatives to that method though..
Have to be careful with oven cleaner's being too powerful -- I used some once and it took the chrome right off the oven rack. Some/Most of them you can't use on the rack bits, or can't leave for long on at least.

Usually I stay on top of keeping oven clean. If there's a few spots clean them right away. This time I didn't. That's why the mess. That' not going to happen; again.
