For one thing, the resolution depends on the monitor too. I suspect that a count might be possible but a definite ID might not.
Most of the fecal field slides need go be back lit but it should be possible to adapt something. But that is way beyond what I know how to do.

But that is way beyond what I know how to do. my microscope is all optics, no monitor to set a resolution on. there are vets that do it with a microscope all the time. and it was all figured out in the first place with a microscope you just need proper instructions

thanks all. I'll order it and see how it goes. Next stop -- videos on how to do the fecals. If you have favorites you think are good instruction, please send me the link.

The only fecal sample counting I know of use a compound microscope with a back lit etched slides for counting.

I missed the link, as it was labeled "link" , and at the very top, and being the wrong color for text from a person, my brain edited it out as advertisement took me a bit to find it after you pointed it out I like the old optical kinds, not sure what the computer versions get you other than higher price, and depending on the version, limited zooming in

spacecase0, thanks for noting the difficulty. I've edited the text for the link to make it easier to see. Appreciate the input as well on the microscope.
