Spent 5 hours yesterday helping younger son clean out the Playroom/storage/disaster area. 4 big bags of garbage, mostly paper that will be burned, cardboard for recycling, some games and toys and books to be donated. Even my son thinks that the room looks better and less crowded, even though he wasn't on board in the beginning! I want to turn this room into more of a older teen/hangout place for him and his friends but he has a hard time letting go of anything. Think he inherited my hubby's hoarding gene!
But we are making progress.

I notice on the Frugal tips thread that a lot of people are cleaning out their pantry. I spent a little time getting rid of old canned goods yesterday and finally put some hooks in the pantry for my lunch bags.
Tip on insulated lunch bags: turn them inside out and wash them in your washing machine with your clothes. It works great!
Was thinking last week when I was terribly busy that since I really needed to mop and did not have the time to sweep first, would that be awful? No--I notice at work they don't sweep before mopping. They wet mop one day and then dry mop until dirty the other days, but they don't dry mop immediately before wet mopping. My time is very stretched right now.
Hope to take another bag to goodwill this week.

Spent 4 hours today cleaning the bedrooms upstairs, and getting the guest room ready for hubby's aunt. Helped my son go through his clothes and got a big bag of things that don't fit for Goodwill. When will this kid stop growing? He's already 6'4"!
Just had a client cancel an appointment in the middle of the day tomorrow so I should have enough time between clients to start on the kitchen! I love having "found" time that I didn't expect. Gets me done a little sooner than expected.

This party on Saturday has really got me in a cleaning frenzy!
Today it was washing all the garbage cans in all the rooms, and thoroughly cleaning my grooming room and laundry. And now I'm exhausted and still have to water the garden. But it feels wonderful to know that almost all of the house has been deep cleaned.
Hopefully, I will finish up tomorrow morning before hubby's aunt arrives in the evening.

Bought four shirts for DH for Father's Day but told him that he had to get rid of four--which he did. I know the saying is "one out, one in," but in our house it should be "one in, four out!" haha
Took a load to the dump including an old mattress. A lot of my summer tops got turned into rags and also soft neckerchiefs that can be tied wet around our necks to keep us cool while working outside.
Bought a 15$ bissell vacuum that will be small enough to quickly vacuum under the diningroom table ( big low legs that the big vacuum can't get around_) Girl at office had one and told me how good it was for the price.

Curious? Which one and and where did you buy it?

I seriously cleaned out my closet late last fall, seriously!! I did not buy back. Suddenly winter was over and my closet was bare.. I have been sewing daily to accommodate myself! This means I am decreasing my fabric stash!
If I could get all my DD's things and my DS's possessions where they belonged I would be in an almost empty house.
