It's salad season!
French Dressing [This is a recipe you must taste as you make it. Some people like dressings that are sweeter, some like them more savory, some people like a little acidic flavor, others like it more bland. You will have to make the bulk of the dressing, then add more sugar or more vinegar to make it so you like it. Adjust salt and pepper level to your taste.]
In a blender: 1 medium onion quartered. 1 cup ketchup 1 cup oil 1/2 t. salt 1 t. paprika 1/4 t. pepper 1/2 cup sugar (add more up to 1 cup) 1/2 cup vinegar (add more up to 3/4 cup)
This keeps a couple weeks in the refrigerator. It is also a good marinade/sauce when baking chicken.

Sure!
Here is a recipe I use a lot. 1 cup sour cream 1 cup mayo 1/2 t. garlic powder 1/2 t. salt 1 T. dried dill weed 1/4 t. pepper mix and use for dipping vegetables. Usually broccoli trees, carrots, pepper strips, cauliflower, cucumber slices. I use it almost weekly stored in a pint canning jar, for the guy's to use in their lunches.

I'm excited to try the french dressing. I remember sitting at my grandma's table watching her make me the "red dressing". She'd always say it was French and I just remember her putting in ketchup and an onion from the garden. Thanks for sharing!

We used the french dressing for a month and ran out. I made a new batch today and got it 'just right' for our tastes. 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 cup vinegar. Then I picked some lettuce and made the guys some salads. So it does keep for about a month and it will separate, so shake it up if it does.
