Anyone done this? Take dandelion flowers put in brine 2 mos. Can be canned. Look at Forager Chef. Probably too late here for dandelion flowers.

I love this idea! Last year we made dandelion wine, our yard has an abundance each spring and they should be coming up soon. I mentioned the idea to my husband just now and he suggested we break out the second to last bottle of the wine tonight and plan to make another batch soon. Capers are a delicacy I hardly ever buy. They're good with pastas or Mediterranean flavors of meat dishes.

Aren't capers actually nasturtium buds that are pickled? I would think they might be close....

Nasturtiums are another bud that they say makes good capers, I'll bet they are delicious I like the flowers in the salads. But apparently true capers are a certain bush, Capparis spinosa.

I grew Nasturums once. You'd pick that little part in very center of flower. They're hard to pick; and would take so many to make capers, it's not worth it.
