Thought I had at least 20 maybe 30 more years before I would have to down size on my birds. My Health has been been declining and has become worse over the last few months. All I seem to do is go to Doctor visits. If my son wasn't bunking here while going to college, I would be in trouble. So I have given to one friend, half of my d'Anver Bantams, going to give what d'Uccles I have left to another friend. I might down size the d'Anvers a bit more soon. Pains me a lot because I love my birds but they will have really good homes. Trying to sell some of the Lucerne pigeons, but I will keep a few of my mini Fantail and a couple female only Lucerne pigeons. Getting the numbers down, will just make it easier to deal with. Have to keep the Big Hen house, if I do not want to have to deal with ticks around the house. At least my Mini Maggie is doing a little better.

I am sorry that you are having health problems of so serious a nature I hope that you can get things under control, and start feeling better. If anyone tells you there's nothing you can do, RUN to another provider. You can always ask for some birds or their progeny back from the people who are taking them in. I am working at never saying never about a few things, myself.

Thank you both. I did talk to them about that, IF My health improved, would like some hatching eggs. But at this point, I see no light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. Hopefully by the end of Oct one of the Docs will know what is going on.
I have military insurance, am very lucky my GP is pretty good. Specialists are hit and miss and as I get older, that gets annoying. So, few of the truly good specialist will take our insurance any more.
Hope things are ok with you UL.

That is so hard. If it's needed though, it must be done. But to not have your beautiful birds around- that hurts.
I can say that sometimes health issues can turn around. 10 years ago I was so weak it took a half dozen attempts to simply get out of a chair. I had a relatively minor surgery and instantaneously it improved amazingly. I hooe you findbyour answer soon.

Never give up on God...He just may have a better path for you. I can feel your pain, for having to give your beloved birds away. Please get another opinion concerning your health situation. Do you have a friend or family member who can be your advocate, going with you to appointments? Once someone can make a diagnosis, your health could be far better. I will keep you in my daily prayers.ππ» I believe in miracles, with God all things are possible.

Ah, this is sad indeed. I do not look forward to the day, although I'm sure it will come to me as well. I will join the rest of the 'family' here and pray for your healing.

Oh, bergere ... I'm so sorry... I know how hard you've worked with your birds and know how special they are to you. I am happy however that you are able to find very good homes for them - that is huge! Your pics of your lovely birds always brightens my day - fellow bird lover! Prayers for you and that one of your docs can find some answers and that your health will indeed improve dear lady... Take care... ~Mari

Thank you Shin and WP.
Goodness I wish,,, all they know is something isn't right. They put me on a 24/7 heart monitor... I think it will be on for week or two. Just depends on what my heart does. Two other tests the end of next week.

So sorry about your health concerns. It is very frustrating when the docs know something is wrong but can't figure out what. I'll keep you in my prayers. It's hard to have to downsize, but we'll hope and pray that things do get better, and hopefully some of your beloved birds can be returned to you.
