Will explain best as I can. Bathroom has no hot water in tub. There is in sink; as well as tub, sink in bathroom just beyond that tub. Why is there no hot water in that tub?

Do either of the tub faucets have a single handle water temp controller?
If so, try this. Turn the faucets in both tubs to hot at the same time. Does hot water come out at both tubs?

I hope you don't have a house like mine.. We had hot water to the shower but none to the sink. Problem was the previous owner, the hotwater side of the mixer must have been dripping, so instead of replacing it (seat was cracked inside as well so needed a new tap) they had shoved leather and cloth down inside it... Well it did stop it dripping I guess.

Is a mixer and cartridge the same thing?

Is a mixer and cartridge the same thing? Yes, sort of. Technically, the cartridge is the internal valve assembly of a mixing faucet (faucet with one handle). When a mixing faucet stops working properly, it does not have to be replaced. All that needs to be replaced is the internal cartridge.

There are hundreds of youtube videos showing how one goes about replacing the cartridge in a shower faucet. Here is an example video.

I changed a cartridge on a Moen single handle shower faucet and it was very easy to follow the instructions. Moen faucets came with a lifetime guarantee at that time so all I did was send them an email and the replacement cartridge came in the mail almost immediately. That was about 10 years ago.

When we first bought this house I thought there was no hot water getting to the main shower in one bathroom.
I finally figured out they had the connections reversed so you had to turn it to the "cold" side to get hot water. I never bothered to switch them to the proper side.
