Due to a tree down on a fence a few weeks back, we lost our pekin female to a dog (side note,he want be back!). Now not only am I missing my duck eggs, but our drake is really lonely. When I let him out he goes over to the chicken yard and sits by the wire looking at the hens.....I gotta find him a new girl! Been looking on craigs list and everywhere I can think of and have only found males or pairs. If anyone has or knows of a female for sale near 'upstate' SC please let me know. Look at him....so alone........

Wendy, you should see him when I turn him out. He runs to the chicken yard and just sits by the wire staring at them. I saw the pictures of your babies, they look great. If I don't find a girl soon I guess I'll have to get some babies.

I'd buy a pair, and celebrate the happy nuptials with a nice roast duck dinner

We had a rooster and a hen. Something got the hen. Now every day Rudy the Rooster prows all over our place looking for his lady. He knows I put some baby chicks in the brooder house. So now he hangs around outside it. I told him he just needs to be patient! LOL
