Had to go to town this morning, rain into a fisherman I know---told me we were to expect up to five inches of rain this week. First I'd heard of it. Two days ago the weather was sunny, 82F, yesterday cold and clammy,. this morning cloudy but not cold, positively balmy now and the wind is picking up. Off toward the S. the sky is clouding up.. May be rain? While in town I bought seed, and somehow lost a wad of bills---good thing I am not dependent on butter'n egg money. Just getting old and feeble-minded.

In WI since our snow is melting, the ground is thawing, and now we have 2 days of rain and over 40 degrees F, we have flood warnings from now until Wednesday night.
The garlic garden which is usually dry/covered in snow, is underwater, even over the landscape fabric we put over it. There is water standing in the gullies and low spots in the yard. Who knows what this spring will bring.

oxankle, are we neighbors?! We have had the same weather and forecast. Bummer about the cash, maybe it's in the truck seat or driveway. I've done that a time or three. So sticky humid here today I gave up on having the windows open and turned on the a/c. I had planned on getting a bunch of stuff planted today but if we get the frog-choker that say it will be, the garden is going to be under water for a while.

Xbusybees; More likely you are my kinfolk's neighbor---they are down on the gulf coast while I am on the Mo border in Arkansas, about 35 miles from Branson.
We had the warm weather for a day, then it cooled off, and last night we got the rain. Up until then only drizzle, but last night 3.7 inches. Sloping, rocky ground and hardly a puddle anywhere, but the lake is up.

Austin is getting a lot of rain this morning. Talk about raining on the 'unjust'! The don't need it, and they don't deserve it. If ever there was an eat, drink and be Mary place that is Austin. Won't be watching local news this am because all those immigrant weathercasters will be talking about is how much rain they got and how much they needed it. I think God permits Satan to interfere in the weather to make those that follow Him stronger and those who don't weaker.

I'd really like to get the tractor out in the garden and hip up my rows. That way they'd be easier to work come end of March.
That ain't gonna happen...

We have recently been enjoying appreciable rain and it is supposed to last for a week or so. Good thing for us since we have been in a 14 month drought. I can empathize with the feeble minded thing Oxankle.

March 30 is my last average frost date. I'd like to have some corn and snap beans in not too long after that. [SIGH ].

May 15th is fairly safe here, sometimes earlier, have seem heavy freeze the end of the month also.
Not sure what cause all those extra letters at the beginning of the last post?
