Have ad habit of not leaving enough head space; when freezing jars. Now, take lid and ring off. Turn upside down in bowl. Frozen will then drain out; slowly. Jar is saved.

That's a good idea. When I freeze in jars I set the lid on but don't screw it on. I stick a note on the freezer to remind me to check them once they're frozen. I screw the lid on after they've frozen.
