Really good photography there! DO they really freeze well when cooked? Hmms. I will have to try that as it's annoying to fancy hummus or a chickpea curry and have to wait a day.

Thanks!
Garbanzos freeze great. I do that with black beans and white beans, too.

I'm not vegan or allergic to anything either (except sulfites turn me splotchy, but nothing life-threatening.) But so many people are avoiding something or other, it is good to have a dish that is good for everybody. "Lowest common denominator" recipes, I call them. And I'm glad you like my blog!

snoozy, I really liked your blog too. I especially liked the layout and wondered what you used to create it. I loved the pictures and I looked at almost all of them so I could decide which one was you, and I decided that I have no idea, I'm a big fan of the cooking ones you wrote while traveling too.

Thanks, Feather, I made it using WordPress. As for me, if you watch or scroll through the sidebar slideshow of "Tea at an unusual hour", the best picture of me is the one captioned "Waiting for the eclipse". I'm in a few photos here and there, but that one is most "me".

Now I'll have that darling picture of you sipping tea in that pretty blue and white blouse, sitting in the grass, in my head when I see your posts pop up. It's so nice to put an alias with a face.

I've got a new post up at my blog, although it is not about cooking -- it is a travel post, about Budapest -- if anyone is interested...

I made this salad twice, once for myself as I'm trying to incorporate different vegetables into my diet, like fennel, and then I made it for my family reunion a couple weeks ago. It went over very well, keeps well too. I didn't have quite enough raisins so added a few currants plus the cranberries. Someone at the reunion thought orange might work well too since it goes so well with fennel. Altogether I think this is a really delicious, handy, salad that keeps nicely in the fridge for a few days.

Like Feather, I can "see" you when I read your posts. And I will think of you when I try the new recipe you posted. Thanks!

I am glad you like the recipe! Whenever I'm a little hungry, if i have that salad in the fridge, it keeps me from snarfing unnecessary carbs.
And it is gratifying to know some people like my blog. I've been losing steam about posting, so getting a little feedback is very encouraging! Nudged me into finishing a new post today...Thanks!
