One very cold evening in November 2014 my dear sweet neighbor called me and asked if I knew who owned a kitten ..
It was crying outside her door ..and was so hungry ...
I had heard a cat crying earlier in the day but just thought it was the neighbor across the streets cat teasing my birds under the feeders outside my window and didn't think anything of it ..
I went over in the early dark and there he was crying his heart out ..
I couldn't stand hearing him and told her I would keep him until morning when my dear friend Sally could come in town and get the kitten since she rescues cats and has a lot of them both outside and a few inside ones too and once they are dropped off at her house in the country she has them all fixed and finds homes for most all of them and their kittens .. Some steal her heart and they become family and have forever homes ..
I have 3 dogs of varying ages and didn't think I could have a cat too but that choice was taken away within an hour of his coming inside !
Within an hour he was my baby ..and I was Momma ...
At the time he was so little we thought he was a she but within a month we knew different ..LOL
At first "her" name was Nookie but as I said we soon realized my mistake LOL
Nookie became PeeJoe...
Here is a picture of him that first night all curled up on my bed warm and fed and at HOME..
The second picture is of him begging me for some mashed taters yesterday ...
And the last is of him on the bed playing with all of his paper toys .. He loves bubble envelopes and paper gift bags ...they are his toys of choice other than his catnip mouse and a pill bottle with soda can tabs inside for rattle and noise ....

He was meant to be your kitty! That's just how things happen with animals. He looks very happy and glad to be home.

We have 2 cats and a dog. They were all rescued by us. The cats were dumped on us as kittens. The little pom was just 6 months old when our son called and told us that he knew some people that had a pom that they didn't get sold from an earlier litter. They were moving and if they couldn't find a home for him, they were going to have him put down. I was like 'Really?' I picked him up that day and he runs our household.
