A privately owned agricultural company is running two seven-floor sow breeding operations, and is putting up four more, including one with as many as 13 floors that will be the world's tallest building of its kind. Yangxiang will house 30,000 sows on its 11-hectare site by year-end, producing as many as 840,000 piglets annually. www.reuters.com/article/us-china-pigs-hotels-insight-idUSKBN1IB362?utm_source=34553&utm_medium=partnerI just do not belong in this brave new world. I am a Charlotte's Web kind of guy. I want some kind of emotional connection with what is being killed for me to eat.

Amen! After visiting a veal "farm" as a teenager with the FFA, I had my eyes opened to way the commercial animals are raised. Now I buy all my meat from local farmers where I can see that the animals get to enjoy their lives before being slaughtered. There is no reason an animal should be miserable!
