Well I have a bit of a problem here, I have a FD-1000 Harvest maid (American harvest now) dehydrator which I really like and have all the inserts etc for, but it was my grandmothers and is showing it's age, noisy fan despite dismantling, bottom metal rusting and paint peeling off...
So I went to look for a new one, and they don't make them for Europe anymore! Grrr as I could have used the trays I have with a new base as it were. So do any of you wonderful people have dehydrators you can recommend, preferably from large companies that might make them for 220/240V.

I think Excalibur makes 240V dehydrators. They're well regarded though pricey.
Any chance you could use a 240->120 converter so you wouldn't have to lose your investment in trays etc.

I will have to price things up. Seems 1000W dehydrators over here are also seriously pricey, most of them seem to be 250W.
