We have a cat who has ear mites but DH is afraid to treat with OTC stuff since she has nursing kittens... Can anyone help me? TIA, Mari |

Any oil put in the ears daily should work. At least I always used olive oil on my rabbits and it worked fine. Do it once or twice a day for probably two weeks. How do you apply it? Q-tips, cottonballs, drips? How far in the ear do you go? I'm afraid to go too deep for fear of causing damage... I REALLY appreciate you responding so quickly! TIA, Mari

We just use olive or mineral oil. With the cat, it's easier to load a syringe and give a quick shot into each ear. We only do it once a day for 3 or 4 days.  |
