Not yet, but soon. It is usually around the first of May before we find any morels. Generally we find the most of it is warm and rainy. We have had the rain but it is cold, so hopefully the warmer temps move in and we find a lot.
They are finding lots around here. I would love to have a mess, but not bad enough to fight the ticks and poison ivy I always manage to get when I head to the timber.
Went out hunting this morning. Found about a dozen small morels around an old elm tree. My husband found a couple at work, next to an old tree stump on the side of a ditch. All those hours spent hunting for them, and as soon as their cooked up, the kids have them gone in 30 seconds.
I'm looking forward to mushrooming this year. I've had quite a bit of rain but it is still cold. Next week, however, is suppose to get up into the 60s for a few days and I'm hoping some will pop up.

Those are so beautiful. I don't have morels here, but do have chanterelles. Haven't seen them yet, but today's weather was glorious, so maybe tomorrow.
My sister is the mushroom hunter here. Lol. She found 20 night before last and a few last night. Problem here is that she doesn't know where to go other than our State Park and by the time they let them in there, after 1:00 because of the turkey hunters, they are picked over.
Never had any luck with edible mushrooms here or in the UK untill the autumn, morels exist. but they don't want to appear for me. I didn't know they liked elm. we have a row of dead elms here, it's been warm and wet today, so tomorrow I will go have a look see if I am lucky. we had some inkcaps, sulphur tuft and some slime moulds. only edible things are some jews ears on the elder, and I saw in december a set of oyster mushrooms I really should go grab their log and see if I can grow some in straw.
