I just gleaned this from another site and thought it worth sharing.I've not tried this yet so you are on your own!

A Tick trick that works !
Hello Everyone, I usually post this near the beginning of Tick season. Go to your local pharmacy & buy a small bottle of Tea Tree Oil. Mix it in a 1/2 gallon of water, then pour into any spray bottle that you care to use. When headed into the woods or grasses, spray your outer clothes mostly near ankles & wrist, neck areas. If you wear a cap, spray the cap also. I usually put some on the back of my neck. Tea Tree Oil is all natural, & should not hurt your skin. You can apply it directly on skin if you wish. This is a "potion" that works very well, & I use it every year. If your spouses hate ticks, as my wife does, then they will also appreciate this !

That is worth a try. The ticks are hungry this year. I think they are floating in the wind or they sure have learned to climb trees. And I mean bit tall trees. I am sure I have gotten them in the open 3ft off of the ground in mowed grass and bare dirt.
I hear putting your clothes in the dryer for 15 min will kill them in your clothes. I've taken to examining all clothes prior to putting them on.

Chlorox sprayed full strength will also work!

Lots of early ticks here in Ohio. I have never seen them before June/July but have found several already.

The ticks are out in full force this year. I am going to try this, I hope it works as I have found ticks on the grand-kids, and my self along with the hubby. Thank you for posting this

Does anyone know if tea tree oil is safe for dogs? I'd like to find something a little more natural to spray on them. TIA!
