I picked up a pine bunk bed set that I want to sand and paint. It has tons of little stickers all over the headboard.
How do I remove the stickers before I sand?

I use this for sticky residue from all kinds of stickers, usually in the kitchen, it is oily. It smells great. It soaks through paper which helps remove the sticker goo. I've used it on wood that is porous, it eventually (within 24 hours) evaporates and leaves no mark on wood. Pure citrus

You can try heating the stickers with a hair dryer to soften the glue, then scrape or peel them off.
I wouldn't use oil on any wood I planned to paint.

Just as an aside...Many papermills around the world use recycled materials as the base product for paper making. The labels on boxes are generally affixed with a glue of some kind, which can cause lots of problems if it makes it through the pulp process into the paper process. Guys in the industry call them "stickies".
There are multi-million dollar companies which make good money, figuring out ways to neutralize stickies.
Not that this has much to do with the original post, besides the fact that stickers and labels can certainly be a pain.
