I was reading an old Countryside Magazine and there was an article about this. Have you or do you know anyone that has ever used one of these? I don't think it's my thing but my sister might like it.

I had not heard of this system, looked it up and have to agree with you. Don't think we need another kitchen gadget. However it would perhaps introduce canning to a person unfamiliar with canning. It all starts with one little seed

This appears to be a similar appliance to the "Quick Pot" appliance that has, or had some flurry of interest.
Neither appliance is suitable for pressure canning. One may be a bit better at water bath process than the other, one may cook a meal better.
Sweeties observation is both are not worth the money for the limits of there capabilities. That amount of money would equate to a lot of jars of good eats with proven processes and appliances.
However that is also right... If a gadget sparks an interest that grows into a useful skill, it is worth it.

It is only a water bath canner and the recipes are very limited. 26 recipes right now listed on Amazon for it. The only nice thing is that you don't have to play around with the stove temp and your KITCHEN will not get hot!
