After watching one too many YouTube videos, I bit the bullet and bought Premier 1 fencing and a solar charger. The charger has arrived and we are still waiting for the fencing. Does anyone else use it? It will be a great for us to use as a chicken tractor as the way we were doing it before just wasn't convenient at all. Stay tuned....

I had a friend who used premier electric fencing for her Angora goats. She swore it was wonderful.
The neighbors up the road use a similar style fence and I saw one of their chickens fly from the ground to the top of the fence, land on the fence and the jump back into the pen. Plus no protection from above. I used to lose chickens to our local hawks...

I use a solar fence charger to keep deer out of the garden. I use another one on a dog pen, to correct a problem with the dogs digging out under the fence. Both have done what I wanted them to do.

Premier is truly no 1. Call and ask them and tell them about the coyotes. Your order might have been mis sent or ? But definitely call them.

Dust, the coyote got the chickens because the fencing isn't up yet.
We have coyotes, but they never bothered the chickens. Go figure.
Have used the 3 foot for sheep, worked great. Used the 4 foot for the chickens. Worked great. Little chicks can get through, so make sure any newbies are large enough not to squeeze through. Once they get zapped they don't keep trying, so even if off the birds will respect the fence. Kept dogs out as well as cats, raccoons, opossums, and fox. I loved being able to move the fence around. Better for the birds and better for the land. Put them in the garden before planting and they will have a great time digging for bugs and worms.

Telling them about the problem might speed up the shipment. I have always found them to be courteous and helpful.. I know the coyotes came before!

We ordered another 164'. I want to be able to get them to their favorite tree. I know....spoiled. The second package came today, so it looks like this weekend it will all be installed.
