I live about 50 miles due west of Austin as the crow flies.
Austin hasn't had a triple digit degree day since last summer. So far, Austin has had 17 triple digit degree days in September.

Hopefully, the temps will moderate. My wife is flying into the Austin airport tomorrow for a two week stay near Temple, TX. We haven't experienced temps above 90º for several years. (at least in MN)

I suppose grandchildren can make even Temple an enjoyable destination. A shame that she has to go through Austin to get there.
I stand corrected, Austin did hit 100° again today.

She just emailed me and said the Uber driver dropped her off. She's gonna take a nap before the doctors and kids get home. We had to get up at 4AM this morning to get her to our airport. It's 67º where I am and 94º where she is (99ºF heat index).

Sorry, but I'm not hitting any like button when we are discussing a 99° heat index.
ETA: My heat index just hit 100°

No ice on the outside dog water dish... However I think one of the last couple days the temp dropped to 0C. The current 10 day forecast has this weekend with lows of -1C, high 7C. The balance only a couple degrees warmer, both high and lows.
So this makes us about 11 days later than our average first hard frost date. Friends in lower Alaska report snow under foot already that comes and goes.
While not raining, I need to get the tractor out and put some things away for the season.

October 3rd and the temperature was 93°.
They are saying that this winter some of our highs may dip down into the 50s.

The high today is forecast to be 49º. Cloudy now, but suppose to be partly cloudy by this afternoon. Later this morning I'll be out in the woods cutting oak firewood for the 2023-2024 heating season.

We hit 93 on Wed. Yesterday it was cool and rainy all day (thank goodness). Today it was 52 when I fed and now the sun is out but boy is it windy! We are expecting our first frost tonight. Gotta go pick the rest of those tomatoes!

I was out in the woods cutting trees for firewood to be used during the 2023-2024 heating season. I was freezing! The temps were in the mid-40s and a slight breeze. I was all sweated up and the cool temps (and high humidity) went right thru my sweat soaked clothes. One o' these days, I am going to have to act my age and give this up.

93 on my car thermometer when I was in town yesterday. Cold front moved through and today it was in the 70's. We are ready for fall. Grandchildren were swimming in October!! That has never happened here...
