Porky, the 19-year-old cat I've written about here before, has very stinky breath. Her teeth were cleaned when she had a cancer removed two years ago. That went easily enough they weren't afraid to keep her under. She is not a candidate for anesthesia just for a teeth-cleaning due to age. She takes low-thyroid med. Her general health is good. Any ideas to help remedy this?

Bones. For a cat I'd suggest chicken wings or necks. Raw, of course. If she won't try the bones, tuck some cat food into the meat so she knows it is food.

I have to hold spot down and brush his teeth. It helps.
