My doe gave birth to quads yesterday in the night. I found her and all 4 kids cleaned and good. Two placenta in the straw were found as well. none of my girls have ever had quads. I watched everyone eat, and pee moved them into private quarters and peeked in. Today I found momma sort of listless, with discharge that include small chunks of pink tissue. She will squat like she does with urination and one time it will be normal urine next it will be bloody with chunks. Temp 102.5, I milked her off a bit as she was heavy with milk, gave her mollassa water, bit B shot and penicillin shot. Two of the kids have that bright yellow poop that likes to cement up.
I posted on the other board as well. but just went out to check and wondering if she might be anemic as well she was wormed about three weeks ago.
am I worrying over nothing? or is there anything else to do except continue antibiotics?

Can you feel if her belly is firming up right, uterus getting back to normal size? If it is a little sluggish more nursing and milking could help. Do the placentas seem whole and look like all four kids' umbilicals were attached to the two? Don't want any placenta retained. But I would imagine normal lochia , clots and all, would be heavy or prolonged after four babies anyway. I don't have goats yet my take is just from knowledge of human birth hopefully others can give more specific help.

She can drain like that for a week or two As long as it's not green, yellow or with a lot of bright red blood, it's normal
Probably
She just had 4 kids
Give her some time to heal and don't throw medications at her without real symptoms
Keep that cleaned up or they can get plugged A little Vaseline can keep it from sticking

I always use to give my does some ACV in their water after kidding. Helped to clean them out. I would watch her closely. Probably nothing, but it's best to be aware. Watch the kids. Make sure everyone is nursing and getting enough. 4 is a lot for her to feed. You may need to supplement as they get a little older.
